Preserving Indonesia Cultural Diversity

A. Description of the Activities

Program Merdeka Belajar – Kampus Merdeka is a program launched by the Minister of Education and Culture which aims to encourage students to master various sciences to prepare them to enter the world of work. By carrying out the learning process outside the study program, it is expected to provide additional competence for students, especially in dealing with the world of work. In addition, lecturers and students are also expected to be directly involved in the community to help overcome social, economic and cultural problems so that the benefits of their knowledge can be directly felt by the wider community.

As the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar – Kampus Merdeka Program, Telkom University took the initiative to hold a Cultural Thematic Real Work Lecture (KKN) program which is the embodiment of cooperation with several Keratons in Indonesia. This program will involve lecturers, students and education staff so that it will encourage the development of ideas and ideas and is expected to be able to produce young innovators who have a positive impact on the development of science, technology and economic, social and cultural impacts on society.

The KKN Tematik Budaya program will be carried out in stages starting in the Even semester of 2021/2022 with activities including:

  • Development of royal heirloom sites,
  • Assistance and development of the financial system,
  • Management assistance for SMEs assisted by the Sumedang Larang Palace,
  • Development of cultural communities and tourism potential,
  • and other activities that are tailored to the needs

The objectives of the KKN Tematik Budaya program include:

  • Provide feedback to Telkom University about science and technology that is really needed by society,
  • To become a means for Telkom University in forming networks or strategic partners in assisting community development,
  • Become a means of developing the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi,
  • Improving partnership soft skills, cross-disciplinary/scientific (cross-competency) teamwork, and student leadership.
  • Increasing the awareness of the Academic Community of Telkom University by participating in providing solutions to problems in society,
  • To form an attitude of social concern, and the responsibility of the Academic Community of Telkom University towards the preservation of regional culture.
